Chapter 1
With a creek sound, a young man possibly in his early twenties came out of the broken shed, the snow just outside the door made it clear the night must’ve been hard on the lad. The pine trees covered in snow shed some of it from their leaves after a chilly breeze made the young man snuggle in his own jacket. With his knees he tried to push the little bit of snow and give himself some space to move up, it wasn't cloudy luckily for him so that made the outside slightly warmer than what he would have to deal with, Cold nevertheless.
Jon recently moved into this shed, for some mysterious reason that he himself believes to be some divine command beyond his understanding for now, the church he used to visit as a child, the one burnt and abandoned long ago, in the hopes to revive it.
This church has been sarcastically or notoriously been rumoured to be haunted by the souls of priests and nuns that couldn't escape during the fire break yet Jon did not feel anything eerie about it except, it enraged him, the fact people left this place in shambles after the tragic incident, no one volunteered for help.
He had a hammer, broom stick and a camera that was hanging around chest with himself on his way to church, the cross of Christ was dangling around his neck, on the way he heard a loud yowling coming from the inside of woods, probably from a wolf he thought not batting much attention to it.
A big church about 80 paces in width and 100 paces in length had its roof white from snow. Jon felt as if he was back at home, church was familiar to him more than he could remember it. He quietly just stared at its tragic beauty with sombre eyes and let out a great sigh of relief.
